At first glance, the two definitions of “revolution” might seem to contradict each other:
- Motion of anything which brings it to the same point or state.
- A material or entire change in the constitution of government.
The first definition implies a return to the same point repeatedly, while the second suggests a complete and abrupt change of course.
This week, I had the pleasure of sitting down with Lisa Jara, a menstrual and (peri)menopausal health activist for women and non-binary menstruators, to explore the rich and varied dimensions of the word "revolution." Lisa's work helps individuals navigate their cyclical experiences with more ease and self-trust, making her an ideal guest for this truly fascinating conversation.
Tune in to learn:
- How the concept of revolution as a cyclical return can lead to profound changes in our lives.
- The importance of acknowledging and working with our natural rhythms.
- Insights into the personal and communal impacts of redefining and reclaiming the word "revolution."
